Most likely not going to be on exam if discussed in book but not discussed in class: hoping for a while rewarding b (kerr)/incentives/basic concept on exam, cases. Will be tested on concepts that the cases demonstrate. Applying concepts not just memorize: understand motivation theories and understand how to compare and contrast them. Which overlap and which completely different: apply what we"ve learned about research methods. Be able to critique whether a causal relationship vs correlation. Given certain scenario, how can manager improve situation based on class concepts. Alberto is working with a group of fifteen people to coordinate the merger of two corporations. Everyone in the group is highly qualified, offers relevant information, and has high norms.
