In the case of visual imagery, this means creating a picture or a movie in your head. Mental imagery engages perception, attention, stm and ltm to construct the experience. These images can be about actual remembered events (walking down the beach), or complete fabrications (walking down a beach with a movie star) (uge individual differences in mental imagery ability; some people are great at it while others can(cid:495)t do it at all.
