The demographics of occupations is not universal, it is culturally defined. Men and women across professions and occupations are indicative of many things: it"s not universal. White women are more protected, black women are expected to protect themselves. White women are more likely to get office jobs, more trusted: tokenism . Token = a small group of a demographic in an organization i. e women in a male dominated occupation. Further troubling because black women have a harder time with toke status than white women. They are challenged more than white women, given tougher jobs.
