Lovely phrases versus the cold hard truth, the innacroachable, hemingway wasn"t interested in sugar coating things, wanted to disturb the reader"s assumptions and generalizations. Hemingway writes about his generation as those who are dissilussioned with a greater purpose, religion, afterlife, the meaning of life, how to move past war and find your place in the world. Belived he had a responsibility to write and describe reality, not a polished version, angered many people. Links of misunderstanding man vs woman, intergenerational, opposite sides of war. Exposing and exploring prejudice: miss stein all stories from a moveable feast . Lost generation, lovely phrases, all generations are lost one way or another.
