Data breaches are having your data exposed. Yahoo has 3,000,000 users who had their data exposed. Equifax: this is one of the country"s big credit companies (getting a loan or mortgage) and had 143,000,000 records of us citizens. All these companies that we use and think are secure have had large data breaches and exposing people"s records. Steganography hides a message inside something else, thereby making the message non-obvious. Hide something inside something else could be in a text or a video. Example: asked my boss for a letter of recommendation but there"s a hidden message within the letter. The message was that read every other line and it says that he is always chit chatting etc. Think about bin laden and how we would never play his videos because his every 7th word could be a hidden message and etc. Example russian spies making text files out of images. Transforming info in order to hide its content.
