Cloud can be used for storage, photos, drive, calendar, docs, dropbox. Snapchat there are over 2 million snaps per minute. Foundation- people begin to build and cloud hosting lives= infrastructure. Company with a website and has a lot of short convos exchanged between numbers and then people start telling more people about your site, but with this you equipment/service can"t keep up with the demand. A few years ago you would put it on a website and rent servers, but it costs a lot of money and time= hosting (taking time to set up and costs a lot of money these are the servers) Major advantage: need more computing power, you can get it instantly from the cloud, and when you do not need it anymore you can scale it down. One physical server cannot handle a bunch of websites or a large demand, so you cannot buy extra servers because that"s expensive.
