Document Summary
Design step 4: translating behavioral theory into educational and support objectives. Needed for both direct (what you are doing directly with the students) and indirect (pamphlet, tweet, email communication, flyer, sheet that goes home to parents) objectives. Derived directly from the determinants: one or more general educational objectives per each determinant, about 3-6 determinants. Stated in learner terms: what they will be able to do. About ends not means: what they will achieve not an activity in the session. Forms the basis of your evaluation (to increase the self-efficacy of fourth graders related to cooking beans) Gives clues as how to measure change. People are more likely to take action if their heads are engaged (knowledge), feelings are engaged and they are doing something. Cognitive domain: thinking domain, encompasses what is going on in head: remember, understand, apply, analyze, evaluate, synthesize or create.
