Subtypes: predominantly inattentive presentation (adhd-pi) mostly inattention symptoms o. 6 or more symptoms in inattention: predominantly hyperactive-impulsive presentation (adhd-hi) mostly hyperactivity-impulsivity symptoms o. 6 or more symptoms in hyperactivity-impulsivity: combined presentation (adhd-c) - both inattention and hyperactivity-impulsivity symptom o. 6 or more symptoms in hyperactivity-impulsivity and inattention. Etiology | adhd is complex/chronic disorder of brain, behavior, development (specific causes not known) Measures of brain activity: under-responsiveness to stimuli, blood flow is decreased to certain regions.
