What can affect your approach: personal experiences, training, preferences, time, resources, experiences, audience, advisors, journal editors, graduate committees, colleagues in the field. Post positivism : determination, reductionism, empirical, theory verification. Attendance is not mandatory but top hat almost every class so basically it is: quantitative. Constructivism: understanding, multiple participant meanings, social/historical, theory generation, qualitative. Transformative: political, power, justice, collaborative, change orientated, all over the place in terms of research approach. Pragmatism: consequence of actions, problem centered, pluristics, real world practice orientated, mixed methods, will do whatever they need to do to solve their issue.
