Document Summary

The propaganda starts as we go down the stone tablet, narmer is the largest figure on this palette and he is also in the center, the size and his placement points out his power. Narmer"s legs were carved with powerful looking muscles to show that he was a strong leader. Narmer was also believed to be the human form of a god called hordus and that is symbolized with a hawk. People from lesser social ranks, such as servants and slaves, are represented in ways that are seen as more lifelike and realistic unlike their king. Overall this tablet focuses on the king narmer, and all of the artistic elements point the powerful presence of the king. This artwork is similar with the artworks of the persian empire, rulers are depicted in the persian sculptures with, assyrian beards and headdresses just like king.
