University is meant to make you a well-rounded adult who is exposed to things they didn"t previously know & ideas/beliefs they may not agree with: filter & change us. Perception of the world & other people: optical illusions example, color. White is white because you were told it is when you were young: eyewitness testimony. Context of a situation can change the way you perceive a situation. In uence everyday things, whether subconsciously or not. Most religious beliefs are passed down from parents/guardians. What you were raised to believe shapes & molds how you view the world around you & how you think. Very powerful in uence on human thinking & behavior. Believe in it because you were taught it. Just because you believe it doesn"t make it true.
