On the contrary, the speaker in the flanders field, believes that the death serves a purpose to foster the spirit to fight till they attain glory and consider it an honorable act. In these two poems with respect to war, one ends with peace and serenity in the outside world, at the cemetery in the. However, in dulce et decorum, it ends with guilt as the speaker feels guilty about his incapability of saving his fellow comrades dying in front of his sight.
