Document Summary
Even the industrious structures of nyc where everything is covered in pavement that is nature. It is man-made, but humans have evolved from the earth. And machines were built by humans, who harvested the metals from the same ground which their crops grow in, to build them. Nature as a word is meaningless because nature is everything. Nothing in the world has not been altered by humans. Nature 2 ways: 1: forests, trees, grass etc. Humans use level at which a people lives off the land as a hierarchal structure: Native americans who do not believe in the concept of owning land, did not build permanent structures, nomadic etc. are savages and uncivilized. 1960s: 3 movements: civil rights movement, womens movement, environmental movement. Nature has no voice and cannot advocate for itself. Money: the fossil fuel/artificial production industry makes a lot of money.
