In order to make a good and realistic documentary she had to become a part of the culture, she submerges herself into that culture. She does not address race in any way. How gender is constructed through the film. Masculinity constructing through driving fast and harsh. Measured, reserved, in control - the driver. Trying to protect her and follow her and keep her safe. Embody power because they are intimidating and large. They were portrayed as dumb, they"re only asset is their physicality.
