Idealized-the representation of objects and figures according to ideal standards of beauty rather than to real life. Idealism, idealization: amulet-keeps ya protected, frieze- band of imagery, usually narrative, close to ceiling. Idealized: the great pyramids, stone, core of sandstone, coat of limestone (originally, only left at the top, part of a large precinct. Most land is incredibly dry except very near the rivers- except during rainy season, when the rivers overflow. Developed calendars to know when to plant, harvest, enforced non-activity, etc. Life after death: (cid:272)o(cid:374)ti(cid:374)ued to li(cid:448)e after death, as lo(cid:374)g as the dead (cid:449)ere re(cid:373)e(cid:373)(cid:271)ered a(cid:374)d (cid:862)(cid:374)ourished(cid:863, spirit would fly around during the day, return to rest in the body of the deceased each night. Women= paler still dark though, men = tan, reddish, burnt! Only intact tomb, all other tombs were looted of everything. Kings were portrayed fairly anonymously, while queens & others could be portrayed more realistically.
