The corporation is a documentary that analyzes the development of corporations and the controversies surrounding them. Corporations were initially associations of people working together to serve the public good with various projects such as constructing bridges or creating railways. The industrial revolution generated a boom in corporations, thereby giving more power to corporate lawyers. This enabled them to get away with certain things. The 14th amendment was created to give protection to the life and liberty of african slaves. Corporations soon began misusing this law for their own benefit, and claiming that a corporation was a person. today, corporations have morphed into giant non- physical monsters with one goal; to make profit at anyone"s expense. The documentary even goes so far as to compare a corporation with a psychopath. It also discusses the impact of corporations on animals and the environment. The chemicals that corporations let out into nature are harming the earth"s ecosystem, and adding to the greenhouse effect.
