Manufacture- the systematic organization of workers according to co-operation and the division of labor. Before manufacture, goods under feudalism were made by artisans and craftsmen: tailors furniture makers, silversmiths etc. Capitalism - the circulation of commodities on international markets - brings wealth for those who own the means of production but misery for those who are forced to sell their labor in order to survive. Hythloday wherever there is private property where everything is measured in terms of money it is hardly ever possible for the common good to be served with justice and prosperity. Capitalism has reduced human relationships to a mere money relationship.
