Oedipus killed his father, married his mother and had four kids with her. Their original plan was to switch the power of kingship every year however, eteocles does not give up the thrown to polyneices. Polyneices betrayed thebes by fighting with the other side during the war with thebes and another city. Antigone does not care about the rules and wants to bury both of her brothers properly no matter the consequences. Ismene is more passive and is afraid of the consequences that come with burying. By going outside, they"re forcing the participation. Creon shouldn"t go out of his way to make sure that he does not get buried. The city is safe again (getting over the war)
