End- athena wipes everyone"s memory after odysseus kills all of the suitors (noblemen"s sons) Oedipus is a king of thieves after outsmarting the sphinx. After becoming a king his empire starts to fall apart. Oedipus finds out from the oracle he is the reason the old king died. The story shows that the king had a fate that the son of the king would be killed by the son. Oedipus realized he completed his fathers fate. Women in society- as second class citizens seen as objects.
