It is connected with pleasure and a feeling of freedom with a minimum of obligation. Changes in the workweek and paid vacations. How we organize time as a society affects our behavior. 7 day week is cultural, not natural. 5 day work week is fairly recent (1930s in usa, later elsewhere) Moving holidays to mondays created 3-day weekends and changes people"s behavior. The relationship between tourism and age has two components.
