Made of loose connective tissue layer: the choroid, contains blood vessels that supply oxygen and nutrients to the tissues of the eye, the cilliary, anterior continuation of the choroid, contains smooth muscle that controls the shape of the lens for focusing on objects, the iris, gives the eye color, composed of smooth muscle which changes the size of the pupil to allow light in, inner layer.
