Only one son is given the thrown which causes con ict in the empire. Babur"s son humayun was uninterested in ruling, barely managed to maintain his dynasty in the face of afghan invasions. Mughals - sunni muslim; king must become shiite to get persia on their side. Jalal ud-akbar pursued conquest, also attempted to reconcile muslims and hindus. Allow religious tolerance, so he gain focus on obtaining territory.
