Motivation: we are driven to do what we do, everything is motivated by something, biological motivators. Arousal: organism seek optimum amount of arousal that maximizes their arousal, constantly increase to get better. Drive reduction: homeostasis parasympathetic, bodies basic needs are met. Environment stimuli, anything hoping to achieve at the end. Attributions/ expectations: eros/ thantos of life love and life vs death, biopsycho social theory. Maslow"s hierarchy of needs: needs for success achieved on how we use different theory of motivation emotion, a state of mind, men happy/ angry, women- 1,500 feelings, feelings complex, james lang theory. Feelings are interpreted form psychological arousal and behavioral expressions. Event occurs arousal interpretations emotion: cannon bard theory. Arousal, cognition, behavioral expression happens all at once. Arousal and emotion happens at same time: facial feed back theory. Movement of facial muscles elicits certain emotions face moves to form expression emotion.
