What is normal : different for everybody, in line with social norms, diagnostic and statistical manual (dsm) To diagnose someone with a mental health disorder, must meet criteria. Add, depression, etc: personality disorders (mentally handicapping disorders) Need to be seen by person: can go away over time. Treatment: psychoanalysis for helping someone with a personality disorder. Types of personality disorders: anti-social personality disorder. No regard for you nor regard for your rights. Capacity to have 1 person in life and that"s it: typically only mother. More common in men than in women (with no regard to anything) Usually grow out of it mid-late 30s: have some care for others feelings, narcissistic personality disorder. People who think that everything should go their way: get what they want and best of everything (don"t work for it, should love to be around them because they are them. Hardest personality disorder to treat: because they are better than you , borderline personality disorder.
