Document Summary

In hiroshima by john berger, there are paintings incorporated into the essay. He puts them in his essay in order to show the reader a visual of what is being written about. Hiroshima is both overwhelming and intense the reader will get an even better sense of what they should be understanding by having visuals to go along with it. The effect on people is much deeper and stronger, possibly touching people more personally with more emotions involved. His claim is that everything that occurred was horrible. He goes into more detail though by saying that if we thought these effects on the world were bad, than a nuclear war would have been even worse and hard to handle. He describes the differences between hiroshima and terrorist groups today and although their are differences, all terrorist attacks can never really be justified and are overall completely wrong.
