Ex: in america - approved cultural goal = american dream; approved means = good work ethic, put in long hours, etc. Innovation = you accept the approved goal, but you don"t accept the approved means (finding another way to achieve goal that is not accepted by society) Ex: want american dream, but you steal money to do that. Ritualism = those that believe in the accepted means, but they reject the accepted cultural goals.
