O ennosigaios (shaker of the earth), to be a tamer of horses and a savior of ships! Hail poseidon gaienokhos (holder of the earth), dark-haired lord! O blessed one, be kindly in heart and help those who voyage in ships! . Helikon famous for many springs and streams. Aigai in north greece known for fresh water streams coming down from mountains. Poseidon is not just the sea god. He is the god of all the waters. Shaker of the earth : means the god of earthquakes (violence) Poseidon is connected to horses (special animal) and a protector of ships; horses like sea can be calm and friendly, but are unpredictable (sea can be stirred up at any moment) Walls of troy: laomedon, poseidon, apollo.
