What can go wrong: subjects can regret, or do not consent, to being in your content, be careful about what light you cast your subjects in. Subject"s legal rights: right to publicity, subjects control the commercial use of their names, images, and likenesses, defamation, false statements that can harm one"s reputation, false light, statements that are technically true, but are misleading and harm reputation. Public vs private figures in media: public figures, require a higher burden of proof for defamation. Include politicians, celebrities, athletes, and other notable figures that are in the: private figures public life, requires a lower burden of proof for defamation. Include regular everyday people who are not constantly under the scrutiny of the public eye.
