Ingroup: you become a member of the ingroup by having something to offer, having strong relationships with the people in it, the boss pays attention to what you do, etc. It is hard to bring new people into the ingroup: executive committees, outgroup: more hesitant to speak out, you feel unwanted and unvalued.
