Command window: this is where you can enter interactive commands at the command prompt (>>), it will be executed on the spot, example: >> area = pi * 2. 5^2. Area : 6350, it calculates the answer as soon as the enter key is pressed and stores the answer in a variable (1 x 1 array) called area. Start button: to start a particular tool, just click on the start button and select the tool from the appropriate submenu.
