Peer review process (cont. : ensures that only high quality work is published. Expose and eliminate fraud (supposed to be) anonymous (supposed to be) free from external interests. Scientific articles: most journal articles are divided into 6 main elements (ignore the 5 in the book) Hypothesis: a falsifiable (testable) statement that makes an assertion about what is true in a particular situation; often, a statement asserting how two or more variables are related to each other, comes from theories, specific, several purposes.
