We can do things differently or we can interpret things differently. Low self esteem people they didn"t care about when they were told they had a prior success. Some of them lost and some of them won. People with high self esteem who were told they were succeeding left with the most more money while the other who experienced a threat left with more money. Ppl with high self esteem bet higher money when they were under an ego threat. Ppl with lse wasent affected by the study before hand. Change in number of crashes from baseline (mean of 10 trials) a. b. Ability to regulate selves affected by concerns related to se. Good self regulation- knowing and following our own limits. Strategic self-presentation: process of convinceing others of something about you . In order to get what i want so i have to act a certain way. Idea: we do stupid things in order to be included.
