Capitalism alienates workers in four ways (1) from their jobs (2) from the products they make (3) from each other (substitutable) (4) from their human potential: alie(cid:374)atio(cid:374): we(cid:271)er"s (cid:448)ie(cid:449) Alienation: depersonalization of the workplace and throughout society due to rational focus on efficiency. Cause of alienation is the impersonal focus on efficiency. Rationalization of society: historical change from tradition to rationality and efficiency as the typical way people think about the world.
