Procedurality: procedural rhetoric = rhetoric of a system. Game brushing teeth to keep kids teeth clean. Purpose in life reflected: the use of unit operations, systems, rules, and procedures to persuade. Games are systems: what makes procedural rhetoric better/worse/different. Sometimes possible to be more than just one, could be all 3. Should be supported by evidence appropriate to audience. Best support possible, otherwise it will fail. Thesis support evidence (more than 1) Precedent (formal) (cid:498)textual(cid:499) evidence (cid:523)text, image, sound(cid:524: good graphics show an image, tough to share music used, quote in game. Everything"s an enthymeme: probability corporations are bad. If premises in an argument and only probably, then you have an enthymeme. Enthymemes are arguments that blend claims + evidence together based on: Ex: corporations take what they want in order to make profit therefore, Claims and evidence have warrants assumption: warrant you want to attract a lover, (cid:498)one might argue(cid:499) Help us realize people might not have these assumptions.
