Document Summary

Instructions: your task is to come up with a 10-item questionnaire for measuring some aspect of personality that has not yet been extensively studied (in other words, not something like self-esteem or neuroticism ). Otherwise, this can be any personality variable you can think of. You will work on this project in small groups of 2-3. When you come up with your questionnaire, the items should be behavioral. So, for example, consider a survey meant to capture empathy or altruism. In addition to coming up with 10 items, you must think of 1 trait that you would use for validation purposes if you were a researcher. The trait should be for convergent validity it should be something that correlates with your measure. So for example, if you were trying to create a measure of how anxious people are in social situations (social anxiety), you would need to find a published questionnaire that measures introversion in order to establish convergent validity.
