CMSC 100 Lecture 8: HTML Formatting
Document Summary
Ther are several ways you can make text stand out using html. One way is by bolding it or enclosing it in the tag. Another way is to italicize it or enclose it in the tag. This is done via the tags. Text is bolded but there is no special importance placed on the text. Strong text is like bold text but with added emphasis. You can"t tell the difference between strong and bold text unless you look at the html file. Strong is represented using the tag. There is actually a difference between the two types even if they may look the same. The difference between these two is similar in that you won"t see any difference unless you look at the html document. Emphasized text just means that the text is important in a way similar to strong text. there is only a subtle between this and italicized text.
