The three factors are communicators, purpose, and setting. There needs to be a common frame of reference in order to have communication: noise: interferences that disrupt the communication process. Physiological: impairment noise - physical problem (deaf, blind). Cultural noise: preconceived attitude towards a group (stereotypes) Communicator perceptions: perceptions: the way you view the world - affect your interpretation of a communication stimulus.
