Iago: manipulative in the arts of lies and deception. Iago wants more power even though his social class doesn"t permit it: he sets in poison that othello isn"t of the same status as othello. Inserts thought that cassio is a better fit for desdemona. Introduces to othello a new way of looking at himself on othello: no sympathy for iago. Brabantio: brabantio changes overnight and turns against othello, rest of council is bewildered as to why brabantio is angry at othello. Is humiliated in front of the council with no show of power: othello goes from honored guest to devil daughter stealer. Desdemona: desdemona marries othello without permission of her father, missed opportunity of securing a strong alliance with othello, stayed faithful.
