Immigration: a move to another location internal migration: a move within a particular country or region. International migration: a move from one country to another. Migrant: a person who moves from one country or area to another country or location. Refugee: a migrant who lives outside of their country but is unable or unwilling to return because fear or/of/and persecution. Displaced person: someone who has been forced to leave their home but has not crossed an international border. Difference between a refugee and a displaced person displaced has moved within their country and a refugee has moved across a border. Immigrant: a person migrating into a particular country or area (in-migrant). Emigrant: a person migrating away from a country or area(out-migrant). Trans-continental migration: the movement of persons from one continent to another.
