People in hereditary principalities are easier to govern because they already know t. Striking down revolt and punishing rebels is strongest way to maintain power. New principalities are easy if same language and customs are used. Ministers allow for more power for the prince. Nobles are easy to take over but hard to control. Princes who receive power by good fortune are weak. Lay a solid foundation ow the family"s traditions. Princes who commit criminal acts can achieve power never glory. Be consistent in the way you treat subjects. Constitutional principalities: power through favor of other citizens. If nobles don"t have power they select someone to rule. Prince doesn"t govern as religious rules are followed. Safe bet to have troops of their own. History of war, geography of war, art of war. Don"t be too nice but don"t be mean. Encourage citizens to success for good of city. Most princes lose states due to military faults.
