Who, what, when, and where: which techniques and treatments affect which patients with what problems and personalities in which ways when offered by what kinds of therapists. All of the legitimate psychological treatment are effective and just about as good as each other: some evidence that cbt is more effective. The changes in cbt are easier to assess and easier. But question is what is better for whom to attain. The deterioration effect: therapy does not help all clients, 5-7% get worse therapist factors: relationship and tehcniques, the relatiomship really matters, techiqnuies matter client factors the rich get richer, yavis. The younger the better- go to therapy when younger. Physical attractiveness sort of matters tends to do better and therapist likes it more. Especially explratory ability to put words on things matters. Ability to speak feelings seem to matter.
