Makes it more believable: see locomotive steam, like venetians with vignette in right middle ground like georgione or someone, slight diagonal and little girl drawn to fit this slight diagonal. Foreshortened arm: very loose and painterly brushwork. Bar at the holies bergere: a bar scene, not a typical academy theme (religion, mythology, ancient history, representing bar maid and reflection in mirror, top left. Trapeze artist feet: we see electric light bulbs since they were recently invented.
