Damages money: amount a jury grants to someone in order to compensate for the process they had to go through. Extra money the jury punishes the other party for doing such act. The judge can reduce/increase the number if he/she believes the evidence is not enough to support. Gawker can file an appeal: you have three judges, no jury, no testimony: is this really an invasion of privacy, is it a news worthy article, gawker (other party) to be treated fairly. Violence against women, objectification: dehumanizing or degrading women, sexual battery, leads men to see women as objects. Civil libertarian approach to speech: no casual link to any of the above, it does have at least some value, sex is a fact of life, cannot separate political & sexual speech. If something is poisoning our youth" allowing our society to deem itself: laws of morality structure of family values.
