Document Summary

During adjustment period, things might not be how they usually are. Or maybe a person does well in adjustment period, and then doesn"t. If you expect someone or yourself to do well, you will. Distortions, similarity error (projection), overweighing of negative information. Usually over weigh negative information and distort their view of a person. Everything is great; elevates mood of whole team. Can be bad if you think they"re good just because of their good mood. Could get tired of them for not seeing negative. Weed out information that we want to see, ignore what we don"t. Only want things that escalate our own feelings. You made a decision that wasn"t great, but you stick with it because you think it"ll get better; or throw money into it. Someone wins, but creates havoc; how much will taxes be, how are you gonna spend it, friends and family come out of woodwork and want money.
