unemployment rate is based on abled body workers who are looking for work

-It does not take into consideration:

• Those not looking for work/ given up

• Part time workers looking for fulltime

• People who do’t apply for ueployet beefits

2. underemployment = when jobs that are available are below skill level of applicant

a. when jobs that are available are below skill level of applicants

b. when full time work is not available/ is not well paying thus need to take a mix

of full time + part time jobs to make ends meet.

3. Part time + Temp work = Treats all jobs same

New jobs created report includes: Full time, Part time, seasonal and Temporary work

4. Minimum wage:

Fed: $7.25 FL: $8.10    Nickels + Dimes
