Highway patrol & state police: support services to other agencies, safety education, motor vehicle inspection, search & rescue, security for governors, blood & transplant deliveries. Now each state has its own national guard. Consequence management-protect public health & safety, restore services, provide emergency relief, etc. Fema (federal emergency management agency)-medical team, decontamination team, search teams, etc.
