Document Summary
Conceptual secion: select from the drop-down menu: Quasi-experiments are not carried out in a lab, while experiments are. In an experiment, we directly manipulate the independent variable, but not in a quasi-experiment. Quasi-experiments are less controlled but have higher external validity. This is the type with the highest external validity. Discrete variables can assume certain integers while coninuous variables can assume any number within the range. True zero: explain the concept of reliability. Reliability is how likely the experiment is to produce the same results, if it is repeated. Results need to be consistent muliple imes before the conclusions are drawn, so if we are unable to repeat them, we will be unable to draw a conclusion from the experiment: explain the concept of validity. Validity refers to whether or not an experiment is tesing the variable that we think it is.
