Relationships = opportunities for sharing knowledge, resources, information, innovation. Your position within a network can have real benefits and consequences. Who"s connected to whom and who"s not well connected in the network. Where there are opportunities to form new connections and collaborations. Who has access to key resources and how that access is distributed throughout the network. Triads - pattern of connections between 3 nodes. Either all nodes know each other or 1 knows 2 others but they don"t know each other. The path between any 2 nodes can be measured in steps or degrees of separation. Hubs - individual nodes who are the only link between several otherwise isolated nodes or group of nodes. 2/27/17 - poverty, southern progressivism, place, community, and the neighborhood.
