Only conquered by aztecs 70 or 80 years before spaniards came. Spaniards contacted aztec enemies (talked weapons and strategy) before visiting aztecs. Cort s finally gets meeting with montezuma after 4 months. Tension between the two builds because montezuma gets word that the spaniards contacted their enemies. In response, montezuma and company start killing spaniards. Then montezuma is held captive and later killed. Spaniards in response to the attacks recruit aztec enemies like tlaxcala"s. Tlaxcala"s are the main force that brought down the aztecs. Arguing if you use kindness and examples of christianity, people are more likely to choose it.
