Bringing perfection to the fields the new deal, industrial agriculture, and the bracero program. New dealers wanted a system where there was more farmed land but not more farmers working that land. What they do is in all the projects, the new dealers create acre limits so they control the rise and fall of agriculture. New dealers think large industrial agriculture is what caused the great. Another prevention attempt: prevent land speculation (just like buying land with railroads coming through it) If irrigation would go through land, then the value would go up: postwar agricultural commodities markets, the emergence of industrial farms. Commodity prices fell dramatically after wartime price controls ended. In an effort to remain profitable, farmers increasingly planted more land and demanded an end to acreage limits. Throughout the late-1940s and into the early 1950s, farms therefore became much, much, larger. This created a new problem: the labor problem.
